The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world as we used to know it. A direct correlation of this can be seen in worldwide shortages in the supply chain for basic products. This has resulted in a significant decrease in revenues for industries across the board. In parallel to this reality, blockchain technology has flourished as a means to reduce costs and improve traceability, among many other aspects. Progressively, more and more industries are utilizing this new technology to their advantage, improving aspects like transparency or accountability.
Within this context, the gaming industry has emerged as the main sector utilizing blockchain technology. In our first article “Introducing Plei” we explained in detail the magnitude of the revolution led by Play-to-Earn (P2E) games and Plei’s position within the market. Play-to-Earn games and gaming guilds are shifting lifestyle habits. That’s why this accessible source of income keeps attracting more and more users to its network.
In order to pursue Plei’s vision and deliver our cutting-edge project, we firmly contend that strong leadership from different professional fields is a must. Hence, Plei is delighted to present to the community its advisory board: Manuel Machado, Pierre-Yves Dittlot, and Serge Balatre.
Their mission is to give guidance to the organization with their vast experience in the fields of blockchain, finance, cryptocurrencies, NFT gaming, and fundraising.
Manuel Machado, Chief Commercial Officer of Nitro League. Manuel has over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur at both large corporations and startups and is specialized in digital transformation. As an expert in matters regarding blockchain solutions, his vast experience working for international Blockchain think tanks and consortiums will be of great assistance to develop the architecture required to build the Plei DAO.
Pierre-Yves Dittlot is the CEO & Founder of Ledgity, a company that shares innovative financial services on a blockchain-technology platform. Its token, LTY, was launched in April 2018, and it’s meant to bridge “the gap between the on-chain and off-chain worlds”. Pierre, who has held several executive positions over the last 13 years on private banking, points out Plei’s advantage as a first-mover in the blockchain-based gaming revolution. While Pierre states that the P2E is experiencing parabolic growth, Plei’s team is delighted to share knowledge with the company’s CEO that combines wealth management and blockchain as a mission.
Plei is pleased to present Serge Balatre. With decades worth of experience in the financial industry in companies such as Crédit Agricole, Dexia Credit Local, Invesco Asset Management, and Société Generale; Serge is a strong advocate of the importance of blockchain literacy in all levels of society, as well as an entrepreneur in the Blockchain and Fintech trades since April 2018. In the meantime, he works as a professor at SKEMA Business School, located in Paris. As blockchain technology is democratizing finances, it becomes vital that this innovative technology becomes public knowledge. Serge has been on board the Plei project since its inception.
